Working from her studio at Newby Hall in North Yorkshire, Andrea is a landscape artist working in oil paints, utilising a mix of both brush and palette knife. Through her paintings, Andrea aims to tell the stories of the places we all love through the use of colour, light and shade.
Andrea focuses on painting inspirational wide open spaces; the big skies and dramatic landscapes of rural Britain which capture a special quality of light. Inspired by the North Yorkshire countryside, she paints both landscape and seascape images which are evocative, peaceful and capture a sense of time and place. Places that feel familiar and are close to our hearts.
Andrea paints exclusively in oils and combines reference images, imagination and memories into her works. Winner of the British Contemporary Art Award in 2023, Andrea exhibits throughout the UK and her work is collected both here and internationally.
