Libby Edmondson
Libby Edmondson was a renowned Lake District artist, best known for her vibrant landscape paintings. Libby however started her artistic career as a ceramicist. She was a professional member of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain and a member of the Northern Potters Association.
As a potter she used to build her pieces with craft-crank clay. She decorated them with a variety of textural finishes, coloured slips and oxides. After her move to painting, Libby commissioned some of her most popular ceramic pieces to be cast in bronze resin. Libby Edmondson sadly passed away in 2022 but her designs live on through these castings.
