David John Almond

"I began painting Lake District landscapes, late 2017. Always driven by originality and innovation, I was quick to come up with an idea, never before seen in the art world. I create colourful renditions of the most beloved and iconic scenes throughout this wonderful national park, a place close to my hometown of Kendal. My landscapes are first carved into MDF, using linocut tools. Colour is given by the technique of pointillism… tiny acrylic dots placed with precision and intent. The carved lines help to give a unique definition to the pointillist style first created by Georges Seurat and Paul Signac in 1886." David John Almond
